This is “The Oceanside,” wonderfully refreshing with: London Dry Gin, fresh lime juice, organic mint, pinch of sea salt & celery bitters. Also had a “Veronica Rose,” delightfully bubbly and sweet, with: Aperol, rose petal Gomme & sparkling wine.

Here I enjoyed a “Hunter Thompson,” interestingly layered and rich, with: Pineapple-infused rum, Vida mezcal, agave & raspberry syrups, and lime bitters, while grazing on antelope sliders and an artisan cheese board.

It was a lovely, perfectly sunny and warm day to bike around the bay and through the beach cities of San Diego, enjoying lunch, drinks, and waves along the way.

Pretty much accurate.

(I lived in the land of “Craft Beer Hipsters,” near the border of “The Outback.” And they sure aren’t lying about the amazing “Pho Corridor”! God damn, now I want some Pho Ca Dao.)

This song always reminds me of Patrick, myself, Mikey, Brian, and one of the Brownwood twins, all doing that sinusoidal wave-flow motion with our hands out the window of Pat’s VW, singing this song at the top of our lungs while driving to the beach at Windansea in La Jolla, California.

Oh, college. Oh, living in that little cottage. Oh, living with those wonderful boys. Oh, those were the days.

Waking up and reading this post after seeing him live last night in San Diego.
